I need an expert answer. Do you think yoga would be helpful for weight gain or any muscle exercises in the gym? I’m 21,f and i need an hour glass shape. How can i get it? RIGHT Now i don’t look like a woman, flat everywhere, no shape, no fats, un healthy. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

yes yoga helps bringing your weight to natural level no matter if you are more or less than your natural weight. But in case of weight management apart from what you eat and how many times you eat is also important. Also your current lifestyle matters a lot. In a nutshell, you need to change your lifestyle as well to bring change in yourself.
Yoga works on muscle and bones to tone your body , it works on digestive system to make it work efficiently , it works on endocrine glands for proper hormonal secretion, and last but not least it reduces stress level.
If you do yoga sincerely without break then you should start seeing result within 3 months.

To gain weight, while remaining healthy.

Eat 5 times a day, always in the same time. Have wholesome meals. I’d recommend a lacto-vegetarian diet, if you also want to gain spiritual benefits from your other yoga exercises. If this is not an issue, you can eat pretty much anything you like, except processed food - have grains, cereals and nuts in good quantities, as these are constructive. You should try to calculate your daily calorie need too, and exceed it by 500 calories every day.

Complement this regime with regular physical exercise, like have 20-30 minutes of walking every day, you could visit a gym, but spend at least half an hour under the sky, every day. Never sleep during the day, dont stay up late, have a stable daily routine.

This is pretty much what I did (well i kinda had to) while in the army. I gained 20 lbs in 6 months.

Yoga helps you getting in to right shape , if you are slim then it helps you to gain some weight to become normal and if you have so fat then it helps you in reducing same.

Yoga does balancing for body weight, you may also try to eat high calorie diets, reduce activities and sleep more in order to gain weight. Try this and share your thoughts.

Diet is most important of course, also there are different types of Yoga, such as classes with weights that may help. You can also get from health food stores or bodybuilding places - weight gain protein powder.

Wow!! It’s a great post! I was also in search of this information that is there any yoga for weight gain? Thanks guys for sharing such a nice suggestions for this.

Although this has never been a problem for me, I have heard that it can be hard to eat “more” food in enough quantities to encourage gain. I know that nuts and nut butters can help you eat more calories without causing you to feel like your stomach is bursting at the seams. Also, cooking your food in healthy oils can help increase the caloric content.

You are young and still have time to develop more “curves”. I know many women who have complained they were too thin in their youth to gain good curves as they got older. The main thing to remember is that regardless of weight gain/loss, you will always keep your general body shape i.e. pear, hourglass, ruler, apple, etc…For instance, no matter how skinny I get I will always have a “pooch”. It is simply my genetics to store my weight in my abdomen. Meanwhile, my arms and legs get smaller and smaller as I loose weight. You may find that you are still a “ruler” as you gain weight. You may be “larger” but still keep the same proportions.

On a final note, health is more important than aesthetics. Just as we don’t want someone to starve themselves skinny; we don’t want someone to make themselves sick in trying to gain weight. I have heard stories of men in particular who have the opposite of anorexia in trying to gain muscle. They put their body under unnecessary stress to “bulk” up. Just keep that in mind and I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
