Yoga I Phone Apps

Hi All

New here, this is my first post!

Will keep it simple,
Last year I was attacked in Bogota city while working and since have been very stressed and uptight about myself.

Ive been recommended that Yoga could perhaps help me to relax on stressful days and help me sleep!

Due to my work I am away a lot of the time so I thought i would consider using a Yoga App on the Iphone…easier said than done…

A quick search showed a lot of App, of course i have read reviews and goggled for a few hours but i hoped that some one here maybe willing to recommend an App that is best?
I don?t mind spending money!

Thanks

There are a lot of videos or podcasts you can download through itunes that you could watch or listen to while you are away. Some popular ones: Yogamazing, Elsie’s Yoga Kula, iHanuman - or just search for yoga under the podcast directory and see if you like any of them. There are also a lot of pay classes for download at iHanuman and maybe the yoga journal website - but I am not sure what they have. I have a few apps on my ipod and I like one called Sadhana because it comes with a breathing timer and has a lot of neat features, but if you are just beginning it might suit you better to just fish around in the istore for free practices or even videos you can buy and download.

Thanks,

I have already done this and found nothing of great help which is why i am now asking for a recommendation and not just to search the Istore!

I use the Yogic Sleep app. (Thats the name!) It is quite good. To the point and stepwise. The same company has 2-3 more Yoga apps but I am yet to check them out.
I also recommend checking apps under the Relaxing Apps title. Andrew Jonshon provides the voice and designed by Michael Schneider.

The best yoga app I have come across is called “All-in YOGA: 200 Poses & Yoga Classes”. It is made by Arawella Corporation.
There are a lot of poses to choose from. I mostly compose my own yoga sequence. I have tried using some of the sequences the app suggests, but they don’t always suit me. I have one hour with my yoga class. So I make programs that only last that one hour.
It’s all the pictures of the poses that makes the app really good I think.

I agree with “User: s1ngular1ty” about Andrew Johnson’s apps. They are really great if you need to get into a state of relaxation.
