As I lie here in a totally relaxed state,
I think about myself and all the things I have put myself down for.
My tummy that has become distorted from childbirth,
things that are hereditary that have scarred my body,
choices that I have made that make me not look the way I want to.
As I lie here in a totally relaxed state,
I forgive my body for it’s imperfections.
I think about that tummy that was able to carry three wonderful babies.
I think about the breath that flows through me.
I think about the strength I have,
the heart I have that beats with such caring and love.
As I lie here in a totally relaxed state,
I release all of my self doubt and loathing
I learn to love the body I was blessed with
and in turn love others not only for their beauty
but also for their imperfections.
(This is what yoga has done for me after just one class)
