Yoga is awesome!

Just started doing yoga again daily and I love it. Can’t believe I let it slip for so long…

I do a bunch of sun salutes with a mix of sivananda style and power yoga style, then when I’m sweating, I’ll go through my postures like, triangle, extended triangle, eagle, nataraj, standing toe, then I do kneeling and seated poses, tolasana, backbends and usually end with a headstand…etc etc I try to incorporate most of the Bikram poses as well, because I’ve been challenged to go to a bikram class and want to work up to it.

Anyway, just wanted to share my renewed enthusiasm for yoga! I joined this forum long time ago. namaste!

Exactly. It also feels like my body has gotten wiser through the years when I wasn’t practising.

Arno,

I’m enyoing it a lot, and now I’m more aware of what is Yoga (or so I think) I can be in my Yoga enviroment even when Im not in the mat. Every oportunity I have I do balance posses

Glad to see I’m not the only one back into it and loving it. I’m coming up on two weeks of daily morning practice and feel like I’m in my 20’s again, except not such an idiot.

lost 10lbs in the last few weeks from daily yoga. Simply can’t get enough of it  I’ve been work all day moving furniture as well, so I feel awesome! om shanti, guru sat nam, om tat sat, chitta vrtti nirodah

Dang, I thought might have been a real human being behind the reply. But, still isn’t technology wonderful. Great way to spam your links, shame they’re not active, better luck on the next forum.

No need to work up to Bikram yoga… just go and do your best… even if that means sitting out half the class!

I hear ya. I do take a very non-violent approach to my asana practice. It’s so rewarding, just to relieve stress and feel a little stretch.

Turns out I really dig doing vinyasa, ashtanga primary and yin yoga all mixed up!
I sweat a ton without needing a heated room, when I need to  Other times I can just strike a real gentle pose and breathe a while.

Still doing the daily practice, today and yestrday very yin like, at home.

happy new year!
namaste.

Thanks for sharing rechaka! It’s great to hear your enthusiasm! You are proof that yoga can help benefit so many aspects of one’s life!

Just did 15 minutes of sun salutes, and feel so much better than I did 20 minutes ago! Thinking SO much about getting back into doing a regular practice, but have been slogging through my days (ok not slogging, but not working yoga in!) and thinking how much yoga will help me! Today I wake up with tight muscles from my low back to my neck, knowing this is my unending procrastination causing me to experience pain, and I whipped out my yoga mat (here at work, I’m always 30 mins early) and did 15 minutes of sun salutes. Ahhh. My body wants more! but people will be coming in soon, and will be wierded out by me in my office clothes doing down dog in my cubicle. lol!
I’m so glad to hear others getting back into it and feeling so positive about it that they won’t let it slip again! You are my strength, let’s keep each other going!
Tomorrow, I get up 30 minutes earlier to work in 30 mins of lovely wonderful yoga, more than just salutes.

I do like yoga very much as I have been doing it for last 3 years and I never felt like I will leave it again. Its awesome and a real fun also. I would like others to try it once !!!

So glad there is a yoga studio opening closer to my house. The yoga community is also awesome. Fun to see familiar faces and be apart of the positive progress as everyone sticks with committing to coming regularly.
