Yoga Paws

I’ve searched the forum, but I haven’t seen anyone say anything about yoga paws. Does anyone use them? How you do you find them? Do you recommend it? I’m just curious!

I use them when I don’t feel like pulling out my mat. I use them on Carpet and tile and they work pretty well. I have the ones from Gaiam.

Is there a website where you can order these online? I’ve been trying out different asanas on my friend’s horse and think paws would be beneficial to staying on the horse

For those of us who are thinking, “WTF” can one of you educate us as to what Yoga Paws are?

They are gloves with the fingers cut out and rubber padding on the palms. It keeps your hands from slipping on carpet, tile, ground or your mat.

They are also made for the feet but I just use some old hospital socks that I have, hospital socks have rubber padding so patients don’t slip.

Sometimes I find it easier to get gloves out of the drawer than to open my messy closet and pull out my mat.

They are advertised on the back on yoga journal and you can probably buy them online at gaiam or google yoga paws. I bought mine at Target. Target sells Gaiam products.

I use them mainly for when I travel. They pack better than a mat. I still like using my mat when I practice at home or teach in the studio. Some students actually like using both as it gives them added traction on the mat, especially when it’s hot in the studio.

Edit: posting a new equi- yoga thread!

I will defnitely be ordering some yoga paws soon!

This is the cutest thread ever! Makes me think of puppies!

Yoga-Paws are an innovative and compact solution for you to travel without taking a large, cumbersome yoga mat with you. You can take yoga paws nearly everywhere.

I’ve seen them on Amazon as well at the Super Target near my home.
