Yoga swing in bedroom?

Hi guys and gals,

Anybody set up a yoga swing or hammock inside their bedroom (house with wooden frame, not condo/apartment)?

I would like to do this. Finding the studs and using some heavy duty hooks to hang up my yoga swing. Seems a bit sketchy though. Also my ceiling is popcorn painted so I’m not even sure if the stud detector will work properly (hence more risky).

Please advise. Really excited to have this set up in my bedroom.

Using a swing in the bedroom, is it for nightly activities or yoga?

Bedroom is for sleep and yoga should not be done there unless thats the only option but usually ones living room has plenty of space.

Actually it’s for yoga. You’re right, living room is a better idea. It still leaves the issue of installing it on the ceiling of a house…

I guess if you talk to a carpenter he would be able to advice you, hopefully you find someone here but maybe not.

And i think its hard for someone to be able to advice you over the net. Maybe you should post pictures or try a carpenter diy forum?

What is the origin of the swing in question?
