What is the usual cost for a 200hr non-residential YTT?
I have not I’m afraid. My teacher training cost around $2000.00 including books, etc. Are you thinking of doing teacher training?
Possibly. The training is broken up into 4 sessions, a few months apart. It sounds fascinating. I’m looking to change my career in the near future or maybe return to study, and while I’m not sure if I want to be a full time teacher it would give me the opportunity to work part time while I study or do something else… It’s a big investment of course, not only money wise, but also energy, mind and soul so of course I want to be sure! But it does feel kind of right… so even if I don’t attend this 2010/2011 YTT I’m sure I will somewhere else down the line!
Where did you do your YTT lotusgirl?
At the Cincinnati Yoga School. It was spaced out over 6 months which made it very do-able for me and my family. The best investment I ever made! Many of the yoga schools I looked into were sterile in their environment and their teaching. CYS was very spiritual, which is what I was looking for, and my teacher was Hindu who moved to the states from India. Even though I left my training hungry for more, I felt they did a good job with most everything. Not enough with anatomy, adjusting or spirituality but very good on helping us communicate and become comfortable in our teaching.
You will know when the time is right. It is a wonderful journey!
