Yoga: Viparitakarani mudra to recover youth?

I read that doing the viparitakarani mudra for three hours a day will let you keep your youth forever.
Does anyone have knowledge supporting or contradicting this?
The theory behind this, that i’ve read, is that in viparitakarani the sun is above the moon or the navel root is above the palette root(where exactly is this?), and so amrit reverses its fall. If this is true would any inverse pose still do, such as the various alternate forms of basically the same thing?
What are the pitfalls and conditions of this mudra?

thank you

Viparitakarani Mudra (The Reverse Posture)

The reverse posture produces optimum functioning of the sex glands. It has a beneficial effect on the thyroid gland.

It produces vitality and rejuvenation due to stimulation of the sex glands and the thyroid gland.

Ah yes! The medieval yoga texts (like the Hatha Pradipika) are full of hyperbole (literary exaggeration). Eternal youth indeed! I would take it with a grain of salt. Translation: Viparita karani is an important and very beneficial pose.

So is the benefits of the mudra as a result of body orientation or posture. Meaning would hanging upside down be as effective as standing upside down because the amrit still falls in reverse or does there need to be pressure on visudda to complete the technique? Obviously only a theoretical answer can be given and not an evidence based one.
I do remember years ago there was a hang-upside-down-fad and i only dismissed it as vampire wannabe’s making this stuff up but in light of yoga claims i’m reconsidering its validity

That’s a very good question francois…

It is to encourage a backward , or reverse to normal, flow of energies. To encourage them to flow higher up the spine.

I would reckon it’s probably easier using mental techniques in this one than say sirshasana. And i would think vishuddhi and lower chakras are also stimulated.
