Zen & the 'next' moment

ZEN BUDDHISM USES BREATH TO FOCUS & QUIET OUR MIND & OUR ATTENTION, WITH EASE, ON EACH NEW INCOMING MOMENT. This, AS OPPOSED TO OUR MORE USUAL APPROACH OF BEING IN the PRESENT MOMENT. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH the PRESENT MOMENT IS , AS GAUTAMA POINTED OUT, THAT THE PRESENT MOMENT FLITS AWAY SO FAST, LIKE A MILLIONTH OF A SECOND, SO GENERALLY THE PRESENT MOMENT IS JUST NOT A VERY PRACTICAL POSITION. BUT THE NEXT MOMENT IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE, ENDLESSLY & ACTUALLY QUITE ETERNALLY SO.
