Are you addicted to a pose?

I’m a little hooked on shoulderstand. Like, I sort of need it in the evening to calm down, relax and sleep better and if I can’t do it for some reason I get a little irritated.

savasana… and I’m pretty good at it too.

Mountain…makes me realize I have bad posture during the day so I “straighten up”

I?m addicted to yoga asana practice in general; although I rationalize it as a good addiction, if there is such a thing, kinda like air, water and food?

Dam!!! You beat me to it! lol

I could remain in shoulderstand all day. I find it very relaxing.

When you do this, could you please have someone film it?

There are some asanas I need and have to pay for if I don’t do. One of them is virasana. If I don’t do that daily my knees will start to complain after a few weeks.

My lower back sometimes begs me for gupta padmasana, and I’m a little hooked on that one too.

I haven’t been doing yoga for very long at all. But. Camel pose is something I have to do every time I do yoga. I feel like it removes a great deal of weight from me. And I think it’s called Baddha Konasana, the other pose I like because I’m working my way up to the lotus pose

I’m much like Ray. I love them all. BUT, if I had to pick one or two, it would be Upavistha Konasana and pigeon. Upavistha konasana is just so liberating and calming for me. Pigeon always feels great and allows me to turn completely inward.

@ YogiAdam and Yulaw,

Shavasana? Really? lol

Yeah, I do it about eight hours a night

Savasana is my fave too.It is the most important asana in an asana session. That is basic yoga knowledge. You’re right Adam.

Headstand…its made me laugh and cry!

Yep… I have lots and LOTS of practice doing shavasana

If you put a pillow under your head it makes it easier to drink Coke and eat popcorn while you do it, without choking. Also it makes it easier to see the television.

From experience Adam?

And really, shavasana is the most difficult pose for most people. For you and Yulaw, it seems to come quite naturally! Your props are innovative to say the least! (i.e the coke and popcorn)

I reckon Yulaw and myself should open up a yoga studio. Obviously the use of pros such as pillows, televisions, snacks etc make it comparable to Iyengar yoga. One thing I notice our students ask often is… why the hell do we do SO MUCH shavasana??!

You’ll make a fortune!

I also love headstand.

I too have noticed this

:o BRILLIANT!!! I had not thought of the Popcorn prop

It’s good for them

Maybe you’re not hooked on it. Maybe you’re simply alert to what your body needs at this point in time and you are meeting that need.
