Combining tibethan yoga & hatha yoga asans

currently, this is my schedule
morning- 5 tibethan rites followed by 10 tibethan breaths.
before sleeping- about 13-15 asans & pranayam.

  1. Can I do the asans in the morning after the 5 tibethan rites & 10 breaths?

  2. I don’t think it would be good to combine pranayam with tibethan breaths & I will do them before sleeping like I am,now or can they be combined as well?

I have done Korean Yoga, and India based yoga… and western etc… but don’t know what you mean by 5 tibethan rites followed by 10 tibethan breaths.
before sleeping- about 13-15 asans & pranayam. Are your asanas the Surya Namaskars? and the pranayams the victorious breath and the alternate nose breathe. Though I dont know what your talking about I want to share with you that I shy away from routine serious pranayama because it induces aggression and power… but my friend-nurse-yoga person disagrees with me…

aggression and power. This is what it has induced or rather shall I say “stirred up” in you . . . not everyone else. We are all different.

But yet . . .

yes.

same.

It won’t allow me to paste an url so just google the 5 tibethan rites
They have been told to give you awesome energy & some say even almost ever lasting youth & it just takes 15-20 minutes to do them.
Going by my own experience, I think they are the best exercises ever known to me
Lookup for the 10 tibethan breaths.
Since a year, I was feeling extremely tierd & drained, & I was not working too hard & my diet & sleep were ok, yet I would feel so tired, its hard to explain, it was tiredness & yet it didn’t feel ‘physical’.
Ever since I started doing the 5 rites, I almost never feel that way (at least since 40 days)

5 rites are great! does yours include spinning?

I’m not sure what tibetian breath are… and what is their purpose.

Of course, spinning is the 1st exercise.
I have a pdf about the 10 breaths if you would like.

Isn’t there anyone who knows about this?
I need to know if I am overdoing yoga or just wasting my time.
I am also surprised that nobody here knows about the 10 Tibetan breaths,

I would love to know about the 10 breaths.

Here’s a previous thread that discusses T5T - maybe that will help you.

Or, contact C. Witt via her website www.T5T.com and perhaps she can answer your questions. She was helpful to me when I was learning the five tibetans. I don’t do them now as I find they irritate my weak wrists.
