Confined to the Religious forum
You think punishment is warranted for ‘spiritual ignorance’? Spirituality IS ignorance! What century do you think we are in? Are you aspiring to The Crusades? Fortunately we live in a century of freedom, and scientific discovery, and it’s people like YOU who are ignorant. This is why I couldn’t be bothered with this forum anymore, cause I have to put up with this type of ignorance and ultra-low wit. It’s like hanging around in the ‘special class’ at school.
Your problem is mate, you are too ethnocentric and deeply, emotionally moved by catch-all phrases that you read elsewhere. It is not even yours. You are borrowing ideas and phrases from elsewhere and constituting your quote of day. That’s why you are also trapped in the fallacy of language. You don’t want to transcend yourself, but also practicing Yoga?

You are just becoming ridiculous the more you write. Why are you in these forums anyway, if you are not a spiritual person? What do you try to accomplish with this attitude? You are not convincing me that’s for sure, and I bet a lot of people would agree with me. Unless, deep down inside, you are aware of the fact that there is something beyond going on, that transcends Marxism, capitalism, institutionalized religion and dogmatic science. You can’t deny the spiritual experience of millions of people around the world. That is, because they experience their Geist, spirit. Is this you controlling your body? Then what is you? Your mind? Is your mind controlling you? Are you your mind? Then why do you need your body? Unless the union of body and mind is necessary for something that is beyond our shared reality?

And again, I accept you as you are. And invite you to face your fears. I don’t say that you should be a 100 percent believer - that would also be dangerous - but again, with being 100 percent sceptic, you can’t get on the way. Just destroy that ego, let it disappear, and you shall see the mask covering you will be no more.
As stimulating as some of the debates are, they can also grow tiresome. Not all shared experience merits an intense exchange on the mythical, metaphysical, or theological context of that experience. That would your own thread.

Sometimes I’m fine with reading about new benefits of sitting in lotus.
I generally don’t find these “debates” to be stimulating at all, unless one of them happens to stimulate some anger. Most of the time they are more like one-sided monologues, which I find laborious and tiresome to read, so I generally don’t.

When in someone else’s house you follow their rules. If you don’t then expect to get punished, banned, slapped down, etc. If you don’t want to follow those rules don’t go to their house.

And Whining about it, and that is pretty much what this thread is IMO, is a waste of time. Take the hit and deal with it.

End if discussion as far as I’m concerned.

I read this recently:

“Personally, I have learned not to engage in conversations trying to prove ideas based on different opinions with the goal of convincing or proving an idea right or wrong. Everyone has their own reality and experiences, which are true for them. Some also have opinions not based on experience. I avoid this territory. I was in academia for decades and intellectual conversations based on speculation hurt my head.”

It was written by an online kundalini instructor. It struck me as very true and something I strive for. Opinions not based on experience or intellectual conversations based on speculation do indeed eventually hurt my head.

Hi flexipenguin
Its interesting, I have tried to ignore the posts on for example the thread…will america become hindu by end of century…and I noticed that you couldnt resist going back in there after stating the above.

Although I haven’t posted anything stating it, it was certainly in my head. to not go back in there and make anymore posts in there. Trouble is, I have, a few times!!

I find it brings out the very worst in me in writing, when I get on that thread. Yet, Im not actually angry when Im writing whatever Im writing, Im not even angry at anyone elses comments…its something else??? m still working it out…its like being swept into something without full thought??? and responding??

My temperament, in general, is easy going, usually very untroubled in thought, loving humour, non argumentative unless something really truly has to be corrected, and, not generally, pedantic…and yet when I have analysed some of my comments, I think…who is this other Karen?! that stirs to take the bait so easily or, lays the bait!!

We must resist the dark side!!

Dunno if I will tho…no I must resist

Dunno If I will tho…no I

Ah Karen, you speak my own thoughts! I like to think of many things as a test. So, for me, these threads are a test of my personal resolve and patience. iwillnotrespondiwillnotrespondiwillnotrespond…

Entertainment value only. I have to resist my wicked self. Or do I?

We could start our own reality show! Now that’s entertainment!

We all succumb to the darker side at one time or another, getting sucked into debate. But i never liked Darth Vader! (until the very end) What does that say???

That its okay to go to the dark side as long as you come back???

Think that it applies to me on certain threads

Kind Regards Mrs Vader

I wasnt in the film cos I was at home cooking

And I was home preparing tea with honey for Mr. Vader. He had a sore throat!
That its okay to go to the dark side as long as you come back???
I think you never come back from “dark side” to the “light”. Because its not really dark - its full of seducing and bright light of being right, knowing what is best for others and world in general, understanding how others are in error and how their minds and lives need to be cleared and properly formed (and “sick” parts removed). You do not come back to the light - in fact you come back to the darkness of being lost in complexity of human nature and need of individual approach to everyone.

People who are “dark” and brutal are just sad and lost. The real evil characters are those “enlightened” ones - or least such characters are the most interesting to me.

Are you referring to the great void Pawel ?
Are you referring to the great void Pawel ?
Wow, what is great void? Sounds cool!

After being contacted by and speaking to Surya Deva privately, his confinement has been ended.

Pawel…The great void is Sunyata is emptiness
Śūnyatā, शून्यता (Sanskrit meaning “Emptiness” or "Voidness"
often referred to as the great void

Look up Sunyata on google it will explain it better

Thanks Kareng!
