Seeker,
You are clearly very much in denial, go read links in original post on Sahaja Yoga and try do so (as difficult as it may be for you) with an open mind.
Many Cults have such so called proofs -…
I am practical person and I don?t believe, I know. For 21 years in SY I had enough experience.
You can talk about person when you know someone well. Otherwise sounds like gossip. Why you expect that real yogi should be slim?
It is not a question of slimness. It is a question of being healthy. Obesity is a disease, and your guru is very obese that it compromises her mobility. This fact does not sit well with the claims that she is the supreme divine mother goddess incarnate. That it was not until she incarnated, that anybody has achieived full self-realization. It was only when she opened up the Sahasara chakra in 1970 that this became possible. Effectively denying every other enlightened person, including the Buddha that has gone before her.
I cannot look at SY without separating that they claim your guru is the divine mother. All your practices plug into a worship of your guru. When you make affirmations, “Divine mother, forgive me” When you meditate with her picture, when you listen to her discourses and open your hands towards her picture. The practice of falling at her feet and keeping pictures of her annointed feet in your home. Not to mention that she actually allows her followers to ritual worship her and wears a crown and poses like Hindu goddess. SY is straight up a personality worship cult.
Who would in the right mind worship such a bad representation of health, spirituality and enlightenment? It is obvious that SY cult members are emotionally and mentally flawed. I have spent a few months with SY cult members, so I am not speaking from ignorance. I have seen exactly the type of personality profile that worships your guru.
I am not going to continue this discussion with you, because you are a brainwashed cult member and sound incapable of critical discussion. But by writing in this thread against SY and sharing my experiences and observations, I am making potentially 40,000 people who come here aware of this dangerous cult.

Jack of all trades Master of none
Who is a master of any trade? I have not met one. A master of something is the swami of something. They have absolute mastery and control over that something.
I am not a master.
In this lifetime, you cant master yourself. Wait for the next.
Adios.

From the sounds of it, neither will you and probably not the next either

1st. a single hair, then make it to a thick bunch of ponytail of adishakti-kundalini in the Self.
its the art of self mastering by the Grace in Union, in Silence.
Seeker33,
You are so much in denial it is actually very sad indeed. Go look at Sahaja Yoga links in first post on this thread, you really believe everything there is false? Are you really that naive and gullible?
Your so called proofs coincidently are in many most Cults, but they are actually not proofs at all just subjective experience you’ve been hoodwinked into believing is something amazing. No doubt when you first went to Sahaja Yoga meetings you were ‘love bombed’ everyone your best friend and so interested in you, and you sound very much like the sort of person lacking contenment in life that would have been easy prey for any Cult to recruit, just so happened it was SY.
Shri Mataji is OBESE no getting around it - note also most official photos of her were takenlong ago she is even fatter now and looks much older. Amazing the great Yoga master that has all the secrets of the Universe & the mind can’t control a basic thing like appetite. She has extravangant tastes in food and eats a lot that is fact, also well known she has severe flatulence problems testified by ex devotees and impartial reporters interviewing her, they have said she would frequently do ‘rude smells’ and not even acknowledge them and continue like nothing had happened, these were very audible.
Sahaja Yoga and Shree Mataji teaches it is the Ultimate Yoga - no it isn’t! If practicing SY you end up looking like Shree Mataji - grossly overweight , I strongly suggest go try other forms of Yoga and experience the real deal.
There is no hope for Seeker Mindninja. He just posted a picture of a fat Jesus to justify the obesity of Shri Mataji

Swami Sivananda ji does not claim to be the maitreya, comforter or divine mother. He’s never made any claims of enlightenment either. He is just a modern day Yogi, originally a doctor, spreading the teaching of Yoga in the modern age. Nor is he unhealthly obese that his mobility is compromised. To the contrary he can do asanas.
Seeker33,

Looks like you need to get familiar with A&B of Yoga Darshana.
Yoga is:
1.1 Yogash chitta vritti nirodhah
Swami i swami and incarnation is incarnation.
You better start live with it.
Swami i swami and incarnation is incarnation.
First, to answer you on behalf of Mindninja. Chit vritti nirodha is the opposite of your condition. You are full of vrittis, and the type of vrittis you are full of Patanjali has also described: wrong knowledge. You are completely brainwashed. Look at your behaviour:
I propose a controlled experiment to you to test the SY vibration checking method. You already rationalize a reason the experiment will fail by blaming your own SY members of not being in nirvichara samadhi. Rather than accepting the method is false, you would accept the SY members are false.
We point out to you how unhealthy obsese Shri Mata ji that it compromises her mobility. You respond by first posting a painting of a fat jesus, despite the fact that nobody knows what Jesus looked like and he is not described as fat in the bible. Then you post a slightly chubby picture of Swami Sivananda ji, despite the fact that he does not claim to be the maitreya/comforter.
Mindninja and myself have pointed out that the so-called vibrations and cool breeze that you feel in SY yoga are completely mundane. I have felt them myself, but I am far from self-realized. To this you have not even responded.
You will never achieive chit vritti nirodha when your mind is full of brainwashing vrittis. You are responsible for putting a huge block in your spiritual development - these false knowledge vrittis you have created about Shri Mata ji will forever prevent you from achieiving any meaningful stage of development in Yoga. You have killed the seeking mind. You are no seeker.
No cults have ever been able to ensnare me because I have never killed my seeking mind. I have a good discriminating mind. As soon as I spot something is wrong, I don't forget it. This makes me investigate and when I have enough evidence against something, I drop it pronto and move on.

This makes me investigate and when I have enough evidence against something, I drop it pronto and move on.
“You cannot know the meaning of your life until you are connected to the power that created you.” Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
How you know what is truth and what false? By your Ego? Who are you to judge?
Matthew 7
1 ?Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
I am not claiming to know what is ultimately true or what is ultimately false, but do I know what is true and what is false in the world I live in. I know, for example it is true the Eiffel tower is in Paris and not London. If I did not have a faculty that could not discriminate between what is true or false, it would be impossible to live in the world. This basic ability to discriminate allows me to cross the road safely.
If you are involved in an organization and you spot corruption, are you going to tell yourself, “How do I know what is true or false” or are you going to do something about it? Similarly, I know when I am in a bad cult. I spot what is wrong, and do something about it.
I have already had these conversations Seeker33 with members of the SY group. Like you, they are anti-rationality, anti-reason, anti-judgement. Like you they reject the most important faculty we have been blessed with the intellect. They deny this faculty, because if this faculty was working in them, they would never be a part of SY. Thus they are taught propoganda like, “You should not make judgement, mother knows best” or “You should not make judgements, let the vibrations speak” It is designed to kill your seeking mind.
But this is not specific to SY, every bad cult discourages free and independent thinking. The BK’s told me to stop asking questions, throw away my knowledge and listen to them. The Anandamarga Yoga people reacted with intolerance towards me whenever I asked questions.
Even in the Gita you are taught that your buddhi is your most important faculty and it is your buddhi that you need to sharpen so you can make more sharper judgements. Krishna says a person who has lost their buddhi has lost themselves. The wise are those who have a clear buddhi. I am not going to give up my buddhi. If I did not have a good buddhi I would have got myself into all kinds of mess in my life.
I have already had these conversations Seeker33 with members of the SY group. Like you, they are anti-rationality, anti-reason, anti-judgement.
Yoga Darshana has nothing to do with rationality and science. Science is ignorant about chakras and you can?t comprehend chakras with your rational mind but the father of yoga Patanjali speaks about chakras.
Nope, Seeker33, Yoga has everything to do with science and rationality. Have you not heard many Yoga gurus call Yoga a science? Have you not read the Gita, the bible of Yoga, where Krishna tells Arjuna to use his rationality. Then teaches him the science of Yoga on how he can improve this rationality.
Like I said I have already talked to members of your cult and I know you folks are anti-reason and rationality and anti-science. This is the brainwashing you receive in your cult.
However, if you read all the classical texts of Yoga, none of them are anti-reason and rationality or anti science. What does Krishna do when Arjuna refuses to fight? He reasons with him.

This lesson will be for free. Looks like you are wasting my time.![]()
In Indian philosophy, Yoga is the name of one of the six orthodox philosophical schools. The Yoga philosophical system is closely allied with the Samkhya school. The Yoga school is expounded by Patanjali .
