Thank you for sharing your insights Christian

one aside here, if you read bihar school of yoga books on kriya, there are many other techniques that KYI doesn’t teach and I would venture to say SRF doesn’t teach either… again there are many ‘systems’ or organizations out there, some may be right for you, some not… some may not need any of them at all… look within, be still, and listen to your heart… all the answers are there…

Yes, I completely agree with you. I have found the techniques published in the BSY books to be far more detailed and practical than the techniques I learned in KY. Also, the BSY stays clear from the mythology and spurious claims of lineages going back to Jesus Christ and superhero like ascended masters and attempts to present the techniques scientifically.

Whether, any of the KY organizations today are teaching the original KY of Yogananda is rather irrelevant. In fact the original KY is first described by Patanjali in the Yoga sutras, as prior to that there is no system of Yoga, just techniques and ideas scattered about here and there in the Upanishads. Patanjali is the first yogi to create a systematic and scientific system of Yoga, and he called it Kriya Yoga. Unfortunately, what Patanjali provides is merely the schematic or structure of Kriya Yoga, he does not really elaborate on any specific techniques such as asanas, pranayamas, pratyaharas(but he does mention a few dharanas) as Patanjali leaves out many of the specifics, one cannot just pick up the Yoga Sutras and start practicing. It is obvious Patanjali was writing for existing practitioners of Yoga and the specific techniques were shared through an oral tradition to initiates.

Historically, the specific techniques in all spiritulal/occult/magical/mystery traditions across the world were not publicized or written about. One had to pass a series of initiations to be gifted with the basic and advanced techniques. Fortunately, in our current age of information and communications, a lot of this erstwhile esoteric techniques are now available to us. We no longer have to slave after gurus for years before they teach us a technique or pass grueling tests. There is a lot of literature out there such as the BSY, Franz Bardon who have revealed some of the most advanced esoteric secret techniques in immaculate and practical detail, that any aspiring yogi could devise their own system of Yoga by creating their own routine using them as guides.

My advice is to use the Yoga sutras as your basic schematic and structure. Your Yoga routine needs to include all 8 limbs to be successful: Yamas and Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, dharana and Samadhi. In english, it means you must follow a Yogic lifestyle and diet, practice self-introspection, state positive affirmations to program your subconscious, live ethically and orient your life towards your Yoga practice in order to establish a solid foundation. You must practice yogic postures firstly as a daily exercise routine and individually to maintain a single posture for a long period of time(this is true asana practice, and not the Yogic gymastics taught today) this will release tensions in the body and prepare one for meditation. You must practice Yogic breathing exercises in order to vitalize your body and gain the crucial control over your pranic currents, without which entering into pratyahara is impossible. Technically, meditation does not really happen until pratyahara is achieived. However, there are any practices that will help train one to achieve this, which are in fact crucial: silence(mouna and antar mouna) visualization(trataka) and meditation practices(dharanas)

In summary this is what a Yoga routine should consist of according to Patanjali:

 1. Yogic lifestyle, diet, introspection, affirmations and ethics
 2. Yogic posture as physical exercise for the body, and practicing holding a posture for a long time practices
 3. Yogic breathing exercises
 4. Silent practices of watching ones mind formally during sitting practices and informally through mindfulness throughout the day
 5. Visualization practices
 6. Meditation practices

This should be the basic structure behind any system one devises. The actual specific practices, which are hundreds and found in all spiritual traditions, is up to the practitioner. They should be tailored to the tastes and preferences of the practitioner. It is far better creating your own system using the structure prescribed by Patanjali than following some organizations system(which often are dubious, involve mythology, indoctrinate one into religions and cults, and involve politics)

SRF , paramahamsa yogananda not serious yogi… fake… be aware … its just ‘merchant spirituality’ , you will pay lots of $$$ to learn from book reading made students…

be aware

Nath ji. What about decarbonization of the blood eh?
Nath ji. What about decarbonization of the blood eh?
descarbonization of blood is consequence of any exercise… do sports and you get it… do any body exercise and you get your blood more oxygen

also pranayans are good for that also…

anulom vilom and nadhi sodhana also chance concentration of oxygen in venous blood and carbon into arterial blood

that make prana flow better on body

Well theirs always an exchange no matter what you do.
exercise actually increases the co2 not decrease

Decarbonization is extremely easy. If athletes took advantage of it they would increase their stamina and recovery time.

I simply find it ironic that no one is aware.
Simple decarbonization genuinely does magnetized the body.
Its very intense physical experiance.
Easily replicated by anyone.
