Living masters and authentc traditions
Yes I did. But then I looked up the word. maybe I meant waver

and

YES.

Wut Wut!
??? I’m Austrian and Wut (and Zorn) means anger…sorry, I don’t read too much here, but is that what you mean? If yes: That’s funny When did this Wut Wut thing start??

From my perspective ‘wut’ is another way to say ‘What’
Namaste,

I would really appreciate any help or pointers from members here on whether you know any living masters or authentic spiritual traditions that I can join.
I am looking to spend up to 2 years or more practicing in the tradition under a master, during which I do not want any involvement in the world, I just want to dedicte myself to my spiritual practice.

Do you know of any such tradition and masters where I can do this?
Is there a broad category of spiritual traditions you are thinking of in particular? Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Shaman, Santeria? I might be able to get you a lock on ayuhuasca shamans of Peru if you don’t have any preferences.

I have no preferences. I am open to all traditions. All I need is authentic living masters and traditions that will be the best for my spiritual development.

Surya,
Your teacher will appear when you are ready.

I would like to echo sivas sentiments , I have a teacher who does not advertise himself and is a precious and from my perspective a living master and I feel blessed to have met him , it was seemingly by accident but who knows ?, I have spent long periods before with great teachers in buddhism , although I doubt they would refer to themselves as living masters , although the main man could be cosidered one , by his followers,( although of course they dont follow him as such ) If you saw him walking down the street you would likely not give him a second look.
But these people might not be the teacher for you , and you cant spend extended time with them today , in the past this was possible. I cant help but sometimes think for you that a Tibetan teacher , llama could be positive for you , a friend of mine has just dissappeared on four year solitary retreat under the guidance of one through samye ling. I think though you would need to spend time with somebody before they might accept you for long a period in a secluded place, away from mundane matters of the world. Tibetans have a fine tradition of debate among other things .
But although the teacher will appear , we of course have to be open to that , and indeed create conditions for that to happen . There are plenty of opportunities for what you are seeking but they dont advertise themselves . I hear of great teachers sharing in India but again I would hesitate to recommend. If I was at the beginning of mine seeking , I think I would go and see Adyashanti and see what happened from that , or there is a tibetan llama that does retreats in Uk and elsewhere that my friends ,go to and revere , I cant rememeber his name but I would see him . Im sure you will find your way . Maybe try some retreats in different traditions and see what resonates for you. metta to you

Ahamkaradev isn’t ready yet

If you are sincerely interested in the matter, then seek a master rather than a tradition.

Yes, I would like to find a master, but often it is the case that the master is already a part of tradition(a lineage going back several generations, in some cases hundreds of years) It is not absolutely mandatory that the master be a part of tradition, all I need is somebody who has reached a high level of accomplishment in spirituality which is demonstrable and who is willing to initiate me and take me on as their student.

& from what I gather from your other thread, you’re looking for a fire-proof guru?
:lol::lol::lol:

Surya,

That sounds like a good idea. But the problem is, how will you be able to recognize him ?

I don’t know. I draw a blank one that one. My intention at the moment is simply to go India and spend some time with Gurus that I feel most at affinity with from the research I have done and the discourses I have seen, and then let my intuition guide me.

Do you have any better ideas? All the help I get will be much appreciated. As I am going to India in approx 2 months.

I think I’ll dress a homeless guy in a Nomex kaftan to go impress SD

Surya,

Gather as much experience as possible, and see whether it opens certain possibilities. If your desire is as a fire in your belly, unwavering, then whatever you do, you will find what you are seeking sooner or later.

Thanks, I have already been a part of this organization in the past. I left it, as did the rest of the friends I introduced to it, after it got too cultish and grandiose claims were made about Shri Mataji.

It is difficult to prove anything by words. I don?t believe words but in experience.
Try to awaken your Kundalini with this exercise and feel the results:
