Nada Yoga

Greetings and salutations,
I LOVE music, and I would like to hear some of your opinions on what music you feel embodies high consciousness or is profoundly inspired. It need not be your stereo typical commercial new age or Indian Yoga center stuff (although it can be),it can be Rock,Jazz,Rap,R&B,Classical,Techno,Peotry or any thing that you listen to and feel and hits you right were you live!
If you can provide a YouTube link so that we can all enjoy it imediatly then that would be very sweet, and please feel free to post as many as you like as many times as you like.
Here are some of the ones I like now, please enjoy:
YouTube - dj shadow - organ donor

I suppose I’l play along even though I keep my musical love and my asana practice quite separate. Some days you just have to play along.

Deva Premal

one of my old/new favorites

This thing is turning into a regular veggie-sausage fest.Come on ladies, show us what gets your muladharas open and your kundalini bumpin!!!
Here is one that I thought you guys might like as much as me
YouTube - Just Remember…

Oh, I’m going to have to check these out when I get home and have speakers hooked up!

Great idea for a thread. It’s always nice to have great suggestions for new music.

For a yogi who cites Sutras you’ve got an interesting approach.

Thank you for finding my approach interesting Inner. Is your avatar a drawing of you?
BTW every one, please make sure to include a link to a nice song every time you make a post on this YOFO tm(Yoga Forum) so that we always have something new to enjoy.
Seeing that the ladies have left us guys hi and dry,we may as well play this song for today
YouTube - Dueling Banjos - Deliverance [best quality]

You are welcome Yoni.

No that avatar is not a drawing of me.

Are there no other new things to enjoy without the posting of songs, Yoni?
How about old things?

No one has left us high and dry. The nature of the reply is directly proportional to the nature of the post.

i have to share this one:

YouTube - MY HUMPS – ALANIS MORRISETTE

It makes sense to those of us who are in to hip-hop…And know who Alanis Morrisette is. Otherwise…

BTW, CONTENT MIGHT BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME PEOPLE, i dunno…So just in case…Heads up!

thanks b – i just sent this link to some friends last week.
it’s especially funny if you know the artist and song that she is covering.
i am having a hard time not adding to the list

YouTube - Snatam Kaur and Guru Ganesha Singh lovely…
YouTube - Royksopp - Remind Me fun
YouTube - Anoushka Shankar - Concert for George (2003) I really love her style. Not much is on Youtube.
YouTube - George Harrison - Gopala Krishna just so cool

I use this piece sometimes focusing on anahata chakra

It is best not to watch it just listening … because the picture is obviously romantic. But if you can watch the whole movie, do it.

The Chants of India with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison is one of my favorites too! There are no tracks on youtube to share a sample of it here.

I also love both of these.

Sacred Chants of Shiva: From the Banks of the Ganges

Mother Divine: Sacred Chants of Devi /108 Sacred Names

Door of Faith by Krishna Das is among my favorites too, especially his rendition of Mere Gurudev.

A couple of cd's from RASA.

Hare Krsna!

Bjork: Joga

Seeing as we all use it, thought a music forum would be good… here’s a good one to start… not to upbeat, not to sleepy… Jen Pumo “All Over The Moon”… listen to Akashic. There’s a free stream at Jen Pumo on Rhapsody Online

Bring on some more…
