A weakness is not necessarily a sin. A weakness could be a tendency, but if that tendency is not indulged, it’s not a sin. I tend to like women. It is a weakness of mine that if I were in a situation where it would be easy to commit adultery, I might do so. So I stay away from those situations, knowing my weakness. That’s not a sin.
Why am I weak? We are all weak? It’s because of the fall of Man. We all have weak wills and dulled intellects.
But awareness is the beginning of mastering them and dominating the passions.
Your strategy of “left handedness” and totally yielding to them does not lead to “getting it out of your system” but to addiction and greater weakness.
Lol, so typical of a Christian. They admit they are weak and yet, indulge in sex and drugs, and “rationalize” it by citing Adam and Eve and other myths. Then they go to Church on Sundays and grovel at the feet of a mythical figure by begging him to forgive his sins. Then they repeat the process until the next Sunday.
This is why Christianity fails. Christians admit that they have weaknesses and instead of training the mind to resist these desires, they let it ferment and crystallize in their minds and avoid the incriminating situations themselves. But life isn’t like that and sooner or later, they WILL encounter the situations that causes them “to buckle.” And what will happen then I wonder? It is no small wonder that you hear way too many stories of child molesting and sexually active priests and clergymen.
No, as an aggregate, humanity is not weak and its constituents do not have dulled intellects. The Christian white man that has caused the most suffering and pain in the world. Doesn’t that mean it may be the Christian white man that has dulled intellects and a higher susceptibility to debauchery?
