I have decided to share some pictures of my tongue and my tongue in kechari. If this makes you feel uncomfortable please stop looking now.
These pictures are being shared because they are relevant to the topic.
The first picture show my tongue as it was on July 11th 2012 after I had been practicing talabya for 1.5 months. You will see a small tear that occurred during Kriya Pranayama when the energy currents became very strong and overcame the lingual frenulum’s ability to cope with the stress.
This hurt quite a bit and is what prompted me to take pictures.
The most current pictures were taken this morning Wednesday October 31st 2012. These pictures show the changes in the tongue and It appears the lingual frenulum is being absorbed into the tongue and is far less pronounced than it once was.
You can clearly see I have not cut my tongue.
You can see my tongue is not overly long, a great deal of Kechari has to do with the soft pallet and the floor of the mouth.
Look closely at the pictures you can see how much the floor of the mouth raises to aid in kechari talabya helps limber it up to do so.
I hope this posting shows
1.I have not cut my tongue.
2.Proves to those whom have read and had healthy doubt that I am writing from experience.
3.Proof that Kechari is possible without cutting the lingual frenulum of the tongue.
When practicing Kechari the mouth is closed and the soft pallet is in contact with the floor of the mouth and the tongue is completely above. Getting a picture of this is not possible with my camera.
Things to note:
Kechari produces allot of saliva.
I have a pronounced uvula it gets in the way at times you can also see it lays on the lingual frenulum or to the side of it.
The soft pallet has a distinct band above the Uvular structures that holds the tongue in place.
I hope this has been educational and informative. As always questions are welcomed.

Although he accuses others of spiritual superiority complexes and having ego, it ironically comes across very loud and clear within him.
Ideally, we should develop such a state of mind that no matter what circumstances you are put in you can still maintain composure, calm - your yoga.
